Meet newborn baby Charlotte!

Charlotte came to visit when she was 8 days old and is the baby of a friend of mine, which might explain why she is splashed all over my social media pages.....I can't get enough of her!

Photographing a friend's baby is never easy!  The pressure you feel when someone you know well is watching you work and you are hoping with every ounce of you that the session goes well and you deliver a set of images that they are going to love.  I also had the added pressure that Charlotte's dad seems to love my work significantly more than anyone I know and I was therefore terrified that I would disappoint and shatter his illusion of the perfect newborn photography session!!  Thankfully though, the session all went as I hoped it would.  Baby was great, slept soundly......she didn't love the beanbag poses as much as she loved being wrapped up snuggly, but that was completely fine as we worked through that slowly and got the shots that we needed without unsettling her.

Next up was Charlotte's brother Matthew who joined us at the end of the session (Matthew is 1 of Charlotte's 7 siblings!!!).  Matthew is a good friend of my daughter Harriet and I've photographed him before so it was lovely to have him back and to see the love he has for his new baby sister.
