I've now photographed a five sets of newborn twins! I love the challenge of posing and settling two babies at once. Yes, it's back-breaking and sweat-breaking, but the images at the end are worth every second of effort to me.
Rosa and Esme were 10 days old when I photographed them and their session was a dream. The girls were exactly the same weight at birth, which was perfect for ease of posing them. They were also very different in both looks and nature. I'm not sure if you can see from the low resolution images below, but their skintones were completely different too, which was another welcome challenge for me with the editing side of things. This was my first session using fresh flowers. A new little trick I have is that I photograph the basket before the babies arrive, on this occasion on both a white and pink background, so that I could give mum and dad a greater selection of images without disturbing the babies. Can you guess which image is the composite? I hope not! The session was relaxed, the babies behaved impeccably throughout the entire session, and at the end mum and dad requested some images which incorporated their hands. I hope you enjoy a little selection of their gallery images. Lynne Lynne Harper | Newborn Photographer | Kilmarnock | Ayrshire
